Probably when everything will be cleared up we will find out that none of the operators of the exchange ever set foot in the UK.
I don't know how many bank transfers have they done (if they did any at all) but those links can be traced by the police, sooner or later somebody will get caught, if the ones investigating it are motivated enough nobody can really hide all that history, they are not Satoshi.

Interesting that their account on the forum was online almost every day till May 4th, but they didn't post anything from mid-April.

On the situation, I feel really pessimistic about it, forget the odds I've mentioned you in the PM a week ago, probably they don't even have that much money to refunds all their clients even if they wanted to, that inflated price rate was probably paid out from the funds of the next batch of customers, and now the scheme is falling apart, maybe because they failed to attract enough volume to turn into a legit exchange or maybe it was like this by design.
