Account farming was also done here in the forum before the merit system.
I don't think that the problem is because of account farming. In my place, Ripple was very hyped in 2 or 3 years ago. But over a long time, it hasn't accomplished any new development. This abates its investors' interest. Also, a number of people have realized the fact that Ripple is a centralized coin and stop following its social medias.
Agreed that it might only be a speculation from me, however, it does not change the certainty that there are millions of farmed accounts all over the internet that were created for fake hype and fake activity which might be what the
XRPArmy was.
