Unfortunately, to fix the DNotes blockchain would require a fork, rebuilding of the wallets and servers, and getting the exchanges to update and there would be a significant cost involved. It doesn't look like anyone is going to fund the update to bring it back to normal operation.
Just to provide some information on what happened. It looks like someone purchased or otherwise acquired a large amount of DNotes, then was able to gain control of the blockchain with majority staking. Without a lot of people staking and supporting the network, they were able to generate their own block reward and essentially doubled the amount of DNotes maliciously. Then dumped the coins on the exchanges. This all started on 5/9/2020, and here is the address:
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/note/address.dws?SdVzKN5NHoTRvEuxgFmd2QgoNXpWdwcQA9.htmWe will continue to keep DNotesVault open for the next 6 months, and I will do what I can to keep the network running, notifying DNotesVault users that should withdraw if they would like to keep their coins. After the 6 months, I will do what I can, but you will have to email me directly at
contact@dnotescoin.com.
I would like to thank everyone who has supported DNotes. This is truly an unfortunate scenario.
