Very good idea! I'm playing the Minecraft every day and it's a problem to find a good server. I prefer  to play on the servers from wombatservers.com/ because they are offering me a big choice of servers and they are really good. I'm reading the comparison of this servers before starting playing. Exist servers where the players are real noobs, but for example in UK guys are professionals in Minecraft and it makes the game more interesting. I'm playing usually with my 4 friends who are from Canada and USA and it doesn't prevent us from a good game.
