Very sad to see DeepOnion out of top 1000 on CMC (at the time of writing). Thought that the last price drop was just a panic sell because of Kucoin delisting, but there was no recovery and price goes further down. Why investors lost their interest? Just because losing a decent exchange? I don't think so, the price is steadily decreasing in long term. I still believe DeepOnion is a good coin and project, but obviously needs more innovations and stronger marketing.

I see there is no updated roadmap for 2020 in the OP and not all points from 2019 were delivered. It does not make a good impression on potential investors. In the past, there was a detailed roadmap and deliveries were on time.

As a first step to recovery, DeepOnion should come with a strong vision and detailed roadmap for 2020/2021. It is primarily a privacy coin, so what additional privacy feature or enhancement can be developed? Any DeepSend improvements or some other feature? What about the smart contracts mentioned in the old roadmap for 2019? Is there any progress or development at all? Maybe DeepOnion can become one of the first (if not the first at all) Tor-based privacy coins with smart contracts.

DeepOnion needs something bigger than only DeepVault improvements and various translations in order to succeed. Where is the domination spirit? I know, the conditions are not easy and competition in crypto is strong, but come on, I'm sure DeepOnion can do better.

In medium term, some decent and reputable exchange will be useful as well (no, this is really not Crex24, at least not now). But it does not seem to be a priority number one as DeepOnion has low volumes on current exchanges anyway and had even before on Kucoin. However, it is important to manage it still before the next altcoins bullrun which might come in 2021.

Last, but not least, if things continue this way, potential rebranding should be considered as well. Maybe together with rollout of smart contracts or before listing on some better exchange, but this is subject to discussion. And DeepOnion needs serious discussion with clear conclusions. It's not too late, but there is not so much time left before the next bullrun which will clearly show if DeepOnion has any future. I still believe it can get to top 100 on CMC in long term if things are done in a right way.

And no, I don't think DeepOnion should be just waiting the new alt season.
You are right. But I think the main reason DO wants to be recognized by the community is the strategy of the development team. A sustainable project requires several good exchanges. You also need to get community support to meet the needs of the community!

Glad that at least someone read my long post and contributed to the discussion. I'm just not sure what is the strategy of the development team and if there is currently even anything what can be called a strategy. This strategy should be summarized in an updated roadmap which does not exist at present. There were mentioned not only smart contracts, but also features like Ledger and Trezor integration which might be interesting for hodlers. Maybe I missed something, but I did not see any updates on these topics. I'm not saying that nothing has been done, there is still some progress, but mainly features from the "nice to have" category, nothing really big. Even in the future plans, which would bring us back to the roadmap.
