Hello welcome to this forum, this thread should be moved to beginners and moved, as you are a beginner in this forum that boards will suit you, for me asking that question is not that bad because we are free to ask something we don't know about the forum, but if you are only for earning money, you won't be successful on that, this forum only aims to have a discussion about the bitcoin and cryptocurrency and if you are only here just to make money, you are in a wring place, there are many jobs you can try to have money, if you really want to make money just apply on some works.
If somebody told you to join this forum in order to earn money, you were misinformed.
Maybe the one who told him is also a member of this forum so he recommends on this forum but forgot to say the real purpose of this forum. There are many people asking about this question but didn't reply to some replies.
