My guess is someone from the nursing home decided to steal OP's phone, and once they discovered he was logged in, they decided to use his account to scam.

He probably sold his account . The person who posted the donation thread probably wasn't Bruno either. They used pretty old photos at the time so they're probably just using photos he sent them like the one above.
There could be a possibility. Also there could be a possibility that it was just his scam 'final exit-scam',... so yeah,... it was indeed, a scam.
