If you look the good crypto to hodl for 5+ years, so, yes is still a good time to buy, but if you are thinking in short time, 1-3 months, I think you should think more about it.
Cause of current problems the prices of altcoins are so down and it seems it will still go on. That means it is the best time to buy any coin at a low price and wait for an increased price. But no doubt if you are a long-term investor, it can be the best time for you to collect some altcoins, that is why as you above said it can take a long time for making good profit from your own investment.
