No companies can manage to survive without profit and in gambling it's house edge, majority of the gambling casinos have it and gamblers are ok with it, it's a win win situation for gamblers and the gambling casinos, and I would like to repeat your post it's a  necessary evil that we must accept whether we like it or not.
