You should take a closer look at the ratings. As for the Ledger Live, there are lot of 1 star ratings claiming that there is not support for Ledger Nano S. This problem was addressed a long time ago. A lot of people don't update their reviews. Also, Android is not iOS. A lot of people might be trying to run Ledger Live on crappy devices with no manufacturer support. I used to own a few such devices and some apps would not launch for no reason. Ledger Live now works perfectly on my OnePlus phone.

As for the Trezor Manager, it does exactly what the name suggests. It lets you manage your device, so you will not be able to check your balance, send transactions or generate new addresses. Upcoming Trezor Suite should provide such functionality, but it is currently in the beta stage only for computers.
