Get paid to receive SMS? Wow!! that's a good passive way to earn money. I have a few questions in mind.
1)Why would someone pay me just to receive SMS? It is a loss for that person because he's paying me for receiving SMS and for sending SMS to me.
2)Will they be using my number to sell it to those marketers?

1) Basically they are testing on behalf of other companies that send SMSes to mobile users all around the world. For example, the 2FA code you receive when accessing a website you registered on.
2) They do have permission to share our phone numbers with third parties for testing and analytic purposes, which is why you'd see SMSes from multiple services like Google, Facebook and the likes. You can check out the full Privacy Policy.
3) Depends. Usually 1-2 daily but I received 9 once, and that was recent.
It's not meant to be a get-rich thing, rather a source for free beer money while you're using your phone. You won't even know it exists
