How about: Rather than purchasing a dog from a breeding kennel, you adopt an existing dog from a shelter?  It would be better to give a street dog a second chance at life.
Also, please know exactly what you're getting in to, living breathing pets aren't like digital neopets, they are extremely high maintenance and require lots of love, affection and care, please do not get a high maintenance pet if you aren't willing to accept the responsibility that accompanies owning one
