It wont be soon. Ethereum 2.0 release has been postponed from January 2020, to Q2 2020, and few week ago it announced that it is postponed again till Q3 2020. Also Buterin is not quite sure about Q3; he says: "I’m 80-90 percent confident it will go live by Q3".

But before that, Ethereum team must do something about high fees. I guess this factors also stops Ethereum price growth.
