The only way to stop the spread of corona virus is social distancing and complete lock-down. But the people are ignorant as always and don't follow the guidelines provided by the government. Also people break lock-down and roam around everywhere like there is no tomorrow even in the areas where the lockdown is implemented. If everyone stays at their own place for straight 2 to 3 weeks then surely the number of new corona cases will come to a cease and this will result in the end of corona.
I am sure there are countries that tried complete lock down but what is the economic damage you are taking by shutting down everything. Keep the hygiene levels and always wear a protective mask and avoid big crowds and you are safe. The governments are trying to open the market as they cannot keep on shutting down everything and we will know the entire damage of the virus in a few months.
If one country does that, I wonder how that country can survive from the virus? The economy of that country will be in trouble, and their citizen will demonstrate because they can not go out to search for their daily needs. We can prevent the virus if we can take care of our health, we obey what our government suggest to us, and we always make our hands clean after we touch everything. If the governments are trying to open the market, then they need to have a strict rule for everyone so people can prevent the virus.
The best to combat this virus is the availability of vaccine. However, this is not possible for the next coming months so what we can do is follow at least the protocol of social distancing, use of face mask, personal hygiene and others that may lessen the possibility of infection. For now, countries need to open slowly even without this vaccine as prolonged lockdown can really hurt the economy as well as starvation of its constituents.
