These are forks, if you don't think some whale decided to pump the coins or find ways to trick people into buying it then you're not going to do well in this space - being a little paranoid is necessary.

Also these are insecure coins only advised because they contain the word bitcoin, use the same algorithm but have bigger blocks. Anyone who favours security and low fees here would suggest LTC, ETH, XMR... AT least they used different algos.
