For this purpose, I like to use the money that I will borrow as the bankroll in sports gambling.
Anyone here have tried this? What can you recommend?

Because you will play with an handicap in your bet, likewise a double pressure = win and recover money for your friend.
What if you lose? You will play more for paying your friend? Loanshark? Working more?
No despite it's your friend, always playing just with your money.

It was a success at the end just because I have win a prize in the competition... but this was a particular situation, and I don't think it can be replicated fo all bankrolls/betting situation
