Yes, it is possible to still make money from airdrops but to be realistic number of legit airdrops is small so you should do your research and only participate in authentic projects airdrop campaign although the reward will not be big but if the project comes out to be really good and you keep holding you may end up with good reward as a result of appreciation of price.
