I fully agree with you. Kawhi was great in the finals with San Antonio, he defended perfectly against Lebron and he fully deserve for the MVP title. However, he was certainly not the SA leader that season. At that time, Spurs would also be championship candidates even without KL. Later in Toronto and now in LAC, his role and expectations for him are much greater.
It's all going down to whom will be called the "GOAT" once again.
Basketball analysts says if he gets another championship in a different team then he might really be the "GOAT".
I doubt they will do that or call him that after winning another championship.
I bet they will want more from him before they could sum up whom he really is.
He's a great player. We all witnessed that. There is no question he could really put one team for a championship battle.
