Talking about economic devastation, I don't understand why the Mayor in my city eagerly wants to have the ecq or mecq back again in the city. The number of positive cases in my city is very low compared to other cities, Infact there was no local transmission, all of these positive cases has travel histories from places that records a lot of positive cases like Cebu and Manila.
The mayor here wants to do the same thing, for who knows what reason exactly. He actually did contract the virus so maybe that influenced his thinking. But luckily we are remaining under GCQ.
I don't understand why the decision about who gets what level of quarantine is made by Duterte (I'm sure he has advisors that look at general stats, but still). It should be up to the province governor.

I'm actually not a citizen, more just a Permanent Tourist. I'll have to leave the country and get my passport stamped before the end of the year. But thanks anyway. I do like the Philippines and while I'm not sure I'll ever become an official citizen, I plan on spending a lot of time here.
