OP, has the Bengali section had a member who's applied to be a merit source--or is there someone who frequents that section who already is one?  Maybe somebody needs to step up and apply for the good of that community.  Just thinking out loud here.  I'm pretty sure there are a few local boards where members are going under-merited, but I haven't heard many complaints lately except from the Turkish section.
