That's what I said. binance still showing the correct data in coinmarketcap. But we do not know how long this will be. I mean there is no guarantee that binance will be on top all the time. Because I wonder what will happen if the real competitor of binance comes one day. Then binance/coinmarketcap must manipulate the data and try to keep themselves on top. However, it has not come yet, if any competitor comes then maybe you have to see these.
If you look at the short history of the market we see many exchanges that reaches the top position will change quite often and binance is also a new kid on the block and it is hard to maintain the top position as there is always a new competitor with good design and support and now binance is trying to invest in diverse business in the cryptocurrency space, we will know whether these investments are for the good or bad in the next 5 years.
