Cons: Sometimes there are "false positives" (says there is a virus when there isn't)
VirusTotal can't detect if new virus name inserted in the software. Also, Virustotal is gathering anti-virus companies only. Virus automatic detected if already on the database. for example;
Comodo Valkyrie Verdict company detecting Malicious software, another anti-virus company mentioned clean. so, don't believe so much if tool says "No engines detected".
You can use an old computer or use a phone to do this.
If don't have both, you can use live USB or make dual OS on your PC by shrinking your harddisk.
