It depends all to btc price and the period, an example is the covid period. What you have to do is monitoring if your coin dump in the pair with btc or in $. In the first case you can set a stoploss and evaluate main projects more profitable at the moment and maybe bought the same amout of coins that you had of the old project when the price arrive to the bottom.
