If I'm correct, it's almost the same thing with bitcoin? It reached 0.01$ once but since then, its price is decreasing.
Dogecoin is a good coin, I use to invest in it back in 2014. I was still new then and it was among the coins that were trending in the market, so I installed a different wallet for it (my other wallet was strictly for Bitcoin) and bought some Dogecoins from my friend who was an engineer and also into cryptocurrency. He was mining both BTC and Doge then. I stores the Doge in my wallet for some months and later sold it and bought Ethereum which was still new then.

After sometime I stopped hearing or seeing anyone mention anything about Dogecoin, thought it died off and was surprised after I checked a few years and it was still there. Having a strong community matters a lot. I am seeing now a days, almost all crypto gambling houses are having dogecoin as one of the payment option for deposit and withdraw; I guess this could be more than enough real world application for a coin to survive Cheesy.
