I read that it was not at all as safe as a wallet to use as a main one, since it is not an open source and apparently had problems with the encryption of private keys, I don't know if it has been fixed now, I have no more information and I have not used this wallet anymore
Just completely read the thread:
[...] Exodus is not (properly) encrypting your private keys. Anyone with access to your PC for 30 seconds can extract all of your keys.
According to Exodus, this is not a vulnerability because "A desktop wallet is always as secure as the computer it runs on".
They refuse to acknowledge that this is a vulnerability which makes it easier to gain access to the funds as if the private keys were properly encrypted (e.g. someone has short time access to your PC without the ability to install malware).
