one usually shares their idea to be criticized not just praised. if one can't handle criticism they shouldn't ask for opinion in first place.
I've seen my fair share of people who enter a field with no experience and end up losing a lot of money. all the starters of those gigantic companies you named started by having a lot of experience in their field.
