Recession: How are we coping?

What advice can you give to most people who lose their jobs and struggling to make ends meet?

Those who lived through the 2008 economic crisis, usually don't know how bad it was. Suicide rates skyrocketed. Homeless populations increased off of families being unable to afford their rent. Laid off employees were committing suicide in the parking lots of the places where they worked. Some who lost their jobs murdered their entire families, then themselves. As they believed it was preferable to their family being forced to live on the streets. Crime and violence rose sharply. Death tolls increased significantly over normal levels.

People talk about Satoshi Nakamoto being motivated by the 2008 economic crisis to create bitcoin. They don't fully understand what it means. The full impact of the crisis doesn't register.

We all want a simple and elegant solution to the problem of the crisis but there is none. The way a crisis like this is solved is to prevent it from occurring. People being informed, educated and capable of thinking for themselves as opposed to blindly following pop culture trends.
