^ I would recommend you do not use such investment sites which promises to trade your funds for you and reward you at certain periods.
what is the difference between staking and such sites, as well as whether there is such a risk.
In such sites you're handing you capital over to someone else to do with it as they please, in staking you buy a cryptourrency which is used to build a project and you lock it up, this is used to encourage people to hold their currency rather than dump it, hence the value is expected to increase, you also get a fixed reward at specific time intervals, based on the amount of the coins you're holding. Th advantage of staking is you own your coins and can always sell them after your stake duration expires.

Isn't it the same kind of risk?  You let 3rd party to hold your fund.  That is the endpoint and what I understand in your post.  Unless the platform is offering us greater staking rewards than us staking it by ourselves, I would recommend staking it by ourselves.  Oh btw, staking token is another kind of investment venture where we spend our money to gain profit.
