So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.
So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.

forgive me, but i confess i couldn't stop laughing, i know that it is a very sad thing. But how did you come to the conclusion that this was a good project? On the same page you posted there were red flag signs like:
