I'm just wondering how the mempool could remain exactly flat while the network was still running going...  Well not "exactly" flat, it looks like mempool txs were slowly increasing... That's a serious case of autopilot right there: exactly the same amount of transactions were being added to blocks every block for 3 months. I can't confirm it on other stat sites. Everybody else (like coin.dance and bitinfocharts) shows much more variation... hmm...
