You don't need to be an like OP to increase rank, be yourself, share with members in this forum according to what you know. What does it mean "I want to be like you" if in reality your knowledge, expertise and whatever is different?. Maybe I take this too seriously, but I'm sure that to get merit we don't need to change our good habits. Develop what we know is the point, the rest please do what is suggested by the OP, mk4 and @skarais above. You have already got 6 merits, which means you are able to be yourself to get merit. In fact, it is not impossible if you can do better than OP. Just make the OP story as motivation for you to be a member who can reach a higher rank.
