A thesis on BTC would only be possible if an educational institution would endorse that and probably if the student is self-funded and willing to be 'self-taught' also. As it is there aren't many institutions teaching or having a course in crypto or BTC but in theory if the above criteria are met this could be possible.

I do have my doubts that even after accomplishing the writing of one such thesis, the impact won't be that great and I'm not sure even if people would trust it as unbiased information unless somehow it was reviewed by a well-known expert in the field and even then it may carry its own levels of doubt.
