Such people making a fortune in cryptos are plundering the reputation of the community and cryptocurrencies, so it's good to hear when they get caught. The exceptional case in which I disagree with the government is Ross Ulbricht, whose market did not allow selling anything that was violating human rights, and I don't think it's fair that the government decides what adult sane people are allowed to do to themselves and what they aren't allowed to do. This fxmsp's case seems less morally vague.
Online companies and services are hacked all around the world on a daily basis and their reputation remains the same. Probably more than a third of all the accounts I have ever had have been compromised at one point.. so this is once again FUD that does not make any sense.

I wonder how this guy got caught though. I remember there was a lot of fuss and doubt about Ulbricht's conviction and identification legitimacy - there were quite a lot of doubts about the legality through which intel has been able to catch him.
