It's just a personal opinion, but I think updating the campaign with an open position doesn't seem necessary, because it will soon be filled up soon after. I think it would be better if we ignored it and only updated the new campaigns. Unless that open position is expected to fill next week, it is good to update here 
I got your point and you are right there but we know right? Once you see someone posting here with an open slot in a campaign, the post of your application may even reach if you dare to be accepted as long as the manager has not yet made a decision and you are the lucky one chosen to fill the slots again of the participants. After all, not every time you look at each thread of the signature campaigns to check if there are slots available.
