I am not sure if fiat money is the future, look at how governments and central banks would like to solve the upcoming crisis. More printed money, negative interest, and helicopter money. Do you think that we can still make money from the air? 
Fiat is the traditional money and been existing for many years. Do you still have doubt that it cant be the future currency? Crypto on the other side can exist together with fiat, its convenient for us who already use it and aware of the blockchain technology. Though it takes time before we can see each country to recognize it specially that some people prefer fiat.
