I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. the thing is tests takes time and results needs to be properly analyzed. they also can't just rely on the information given by others (even if it is very reliable). if they didn't made tests DOH is wasting precious opportunity to save lives.
Time is of the essence. The number of average positive cases is not decreasing, even if they did some tests (presumably this month), they're not just wasting lives but time.

'F as in falfak': PH gov't gets failing marks in COVID-19 response from these experts

As per the article. We're up to being no.15 countries with a highest active cases and no.1 in ASEAN. Imagine that and it could be more worse...

LOL.

a lot of you still don't get it. the government don't care about you and what is the cutting edge and latest out there.

whatever it is that will be going inside the country, they are the middle man and they will have their nice slice of the pie (people's money). the visible part is tax and the invisible part is corruption.

the virus is not that deadly, that's why the government have time and priority for anti terror bill, to gain more..why is the junk that is inside the groceries are still in there that causes more deaths than COVID-19? because it is all about the gains. no one cares.

I agree that it is not deadly compared to other viruses but the alarming part here is it has no vaccine, no medicine, severe symptoms, incomplete knowledge of the virus, etc.. the infection rate is also incredibly high and can travel easily from person to person which can easily reach old people and unhealthy. doesn't it alarm you that 1800+ already died in a matter of months here in the Philippines because of one virus? do you have statistics or stemate on how many people have died because of "junks" in a matter of months?

eat healthy, live healthy and have your supplements. your immune system is the one that really cares about you.
making yourself healthy doesn't happen in a matter of days and taking a supplement doesn't really help if you just start taking it and a lot of Filipino doesn't have the luxury to buy a supplementary medicine to boost their immune system or to live a healthy life.

1800 in half a year...make it x10, 18,000 for a year Wink

https://psa.gov.ph/vital-statistics/id/138794

total number of pre-wuhan virus respiratory deaths is over 100k a year lol
-snip

days? wuhan virus is all around the internet since January.

If supplements is a luxury to you then you are fucked in this life in many ways, not just health. there are many ways to nourish your health cheaply, like growing your own herbs, or just stop taking in junks, a lot of people are just plain lazy and dumb.

only the smart and fast are making their steps to gain in this fiasco. the government and the high profile prisoners while the average sheeple is busy studying medicine  Cheesy LOL

it is understandable that there are more diseases that are more deadly than COVID-19(as I stated previously). but the death chart per disease you presented is caused due to long exposure of poor health management, genetics, etc.. whereas covid-19 can pottentially kill you in a matter of weeks after exposure. also, some of those diseases affect Filipinos by millions. imagine COVID-19 infecting millions of people here in the Philippines where a lot of people have poor health especially on slums area and poor hospital standards with very limited resources.

ever heard of herd immunity? the government is going to that route, they are not just talking about it because it shows that they made the wrong move of shutting down the economy, closing businesses and losing jobs.

what do you think about "balik probinsya"? if all the provinces are 0 cases and manila still has a few, manila will be closed for a year or two? LOL - not gonna happen, same with provinces and same with countries.

and the government proceeded to anti terror and now vacine$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

first to information first to gain.
