China on Friday ordered the U.S. to close its Consulate-General in southwest China's Chengdu City in response to U.S. directive for China to shut its Consulate-General in Houston, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

On July 21, the U.S. side abruptly instructed the Chinese side to close its Consulate-General in Houston.

@gmjutt6 what is this nursery days? where one child hits so the other child also hits seriously these two countries need to grow up, and focus on fixing the global economy and find a long lasting cure for this covid issue. Furthermore their deteriorating relations don’t bode well for the world, because the last thing we need is a war (trade war, or a nuclear war) between these two super powers and I sincerely hope that they’ll back off, and fight the common enemy i.e. Covid.
