like the rollover requirements that some casinos use to "prevent money-laundering".
That is actually stupidest excuse and rule I have ever heard, only thing which might prevent money laundering is KYC, but not selective KYC which is regular practice around here.

Even casinos that don't require KYC do this... For casinos its usually a 2-3x rollover requirement and for sportsbooks its usually 1x. The only anonymous betting sites that don't are dice sites like Bustadice, etc.. It might be lame but its pretty standard. If they didn't do that, people could just use casinos as a mixer and there's nothing in it for them.

I'd actually be curious to know which sportsbooks don't have this requirement and will let you withdraw without wagering and without KYC.

I remember one time I got an email about a "free bonus" at a casino I didn't play at anymore, grinded through some obscenely high wagering requirements, managed to win enough to make a cashout, only to have the casino tell me there was a duplicate account linked via IP...

Turns out my g.f. had made an account on the casino with my computer to play slots with "fun money." She never made a deposit or activated a bonus, yet because the TOS clearly said "no multi accounting" my winnings were lost and both accounts closed. They didn't even ask about KYC.

I was pretty mad at first but in retrospect I can see where they were coming from -- just because a bonus wasn't activated yet, it doesn't mean that a player wasn't planning on activating it in the future.

As far as casinos/sportsbooks not asking for KYC until a withdrawal is requested (and even then only in certain circumstances), well yeah, that remains the sensible thing to do. I'm not too keen on the idea of giving strangers my personal info in the hopes that they will store it wisely and only do honorable things with it. So I'd rather wait as long as possible before having to give them my documents.
