I don't think the impact of cryptocurrency on the world economy is significant. This is because cryptocurrency barely has a direct contribution to most countries GDP. Most people who earn from this space don't pay their taxes and barely declares their earnings from cryptocurrency. I personally won't love cryptocurrency to stop, because it has been a source of income for many people who may or may not have an offline job.
