Thats not a good basis. Some social media channels and sites are well designed and layout. So its hard to use that as a reference for scam or legit. I think focus on technical application like mvp working product or technical paper. Thats more easier to distinguish whether a project could be scam or legit. Check the team profile as much as possible call or try to contact them via videocall if their info is legit or not.
