Agreed though one reason could be there are no stores accepting dvc because there is no exchange to buy and sell dvc. But they are taking a risk with each coin listing that it could be a scam or worse and damage the exchange itself. I have seen it in the past where a coins foundation offer an online shop with token items (coffee mugs, hats, stickers etc all with the crypto logo on it and purchase can be done in btc and the crypto thus offering a place to spend. Is there anything stopping dvc setting up and offering such a shop? It was done in the past as an incentive to mine the coins and give you something physical for the electricity bill and speculation for the miner but has more value now as a sign of the community and support behind the coin in the eyes of exchanges and the public.
@FuzzyBear, I though I've been clear but here we go again:
1. "there is no exchange to buy and sell dvc" FALSE. We have Freiexchange to BUY, and Stellar DEX to BUY and SELL. See:
https://www.devcoin.org/get-devcoin.html (Click "Buy Devcoins"). There are DVC pairs against BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP, USD and plenty of Galactic Milieu tokens
2. "Is there anything stopping dvc setting up and offering such a shop?" NO. DVC tokens on stellar platform are e-commerce enabled. See shopify stellar integration:
https://stellarpay.io/documentation/shopify/shopify-xlm-integration/3. Devcoin is not just a Bitcoin fork any longer. Everybody, please, get up to date on what you can do with Stellar and DVC tokens
Last but not least, DVC tokens are getting more and more trading volume on our current exchanges: Stellar DEX and Freeiexchange. Market makers are welcome to join the party. Later you can't tell me I didn't let you know early!
Go go Devcoin!
