I have installed OWNR wallet app on my iPhone. This wallet offers variable fees, you can set extremely low transaction fee if need it. For example, I payed $0.31 for sending $70 in Bitcoin equivalent. It took approximately 40 minutes to get two confirmations.
You are probably lucky because you sent out a transaction today, Sunday where the bitcoin transaction fees is usually at it's lowest as compared to the rest of the week, on a weekday, that transaction fee though you have indicated it in USD would have taken several hours to get confirmed.
I advise you to use Electrum wallet, It's been there for a number of years as compared to OWNR wallet, it's both in PC and Mobile app form, It's open source and also gives you the ability to edit the transaction fees.
