I have a question, when the scrypt asic come , may the doge code be patched to avoid them?
Probably not. Would require 51% of miners to switch to new PoW algorithm. Scrypt-Jane/N-factory (ala VertCoin or Microcoin) could be a replacement-- but much more difficult to configure miner. And, would need an entire network conversion. Dogecoin has had enough trouble just staying updated....

About configuring to vertminer there is no problem seriously you just replace ""scrypt" to other algorythm and and rdy tha is not difficult but ASICs will lose ther income
...Let them farm LTC and guys look at thier price LTC now 0,02BTC becouse of that Asics farms.
I want doge be GPU exclusive till last halfing.
