Like I said below.

Rijk has tasted 40 NLG reward for far too long to give it up. It's become normal for people, he can keep it going indefinitely no matter the price.

Although I didn't expect a reward increase, it does explains 2 situations.

1. Novo not getting enough or any buyers to support development.
2. You can throw all trust out the window with the constant block reward changes, I am not a big holder but I would be seriously concerned if I was.

NB. For anyone that can contact the GAB:

You need to get in writing that the 1.68 billion total reward is never changed as this is the last credible value left on the Gulden blockchain. This way when they increase the dev reward to 120 or 160 next year at least you know 1.68 billion will be the total.

From the main GAB member.
Bart:
But the total supply doesnt change. It is not that we are generating more Gulden than initially intended. So wether they are printed out in a month or in 40 years, it will be the same final total

Can you tell me what the total supply is, I want to compare it to other coins.

I see this thread has returned to life.

Total supply for Gulden is 1.68 billion, current supply is 518 million according to Coinmarketcap.com

Another crypto I am invested in is Digibyte, already made 4 times gains with what I invested in the last year and still not going to sell. The supply and reward isn't an issue for Gulden because digibyte has a current supply of 13.4 billion and the price is 227 sat vs Guldens 80 sat.
Digibyte will have a total supply of 21 billion which is 4 times more to be mined than the total Gulden supply.

The question everyone should be asking is this, Why is digibytes price 3 times higher than Gulden with a current supply 26 times that of Gulden?

What Digibyte does better than Gulden imho.

1. Jared is well liked by the digibyte community and he treats people with respect whether it's negative or positive feedback. Also puts himself out there to do meet ups.
2. Better marketing
3. More exchanges

What does Gulden do better than Digibyte.

1. Development
