Nobody is dumb enough to get tricked into buying goods because of 1 post newbies recommendations. If anybody is to fall for this then there is no hope for them in life, it won’t be the only time the fool parts with his money.
I hate to break it to you but there are dumb enough people who get scammed by this. you'd be surprised how many people get scammed with a low ranking account even a newbie account with negative feedback.
following the post history of all the account posted in that thread, you'll find more self-moderated thread created by a newbie with a sefl-vouching posts from different newbie accounts.
