I've just got a plutus card, which I've requested seeing the quite amazing cashback features. But I now realize these features are only available to premium members who pay a monthly fee. And I have a basic account since ATM I'm not planning a big monthly cashflow. So which exactly would be the reason to own a Plutus card with just a basic account?

It is your fault you should have to read that carefully before place the order. As Starter plan charge almost €10 for this with no monthly charges and rest of plan have monthly fee. If you are normal user than no need to be worry just use it like normal debit card.
A normal debit card which integrates two financial systems - fiat and crypto.
It's worth noting that for most of July, and for the rest of August, our Starter plan is totally free - there is no cost to ordering a card
If there is no cost to get a card with starter plan than you should have to make it correct on the website. Why it still showing €9.99 this? Even starter plan is free but it doesn't offer any kind of benefits there like the other plans.
