Before you decide to drop MetaMask off, maybe try to find out how the heck you got hacked. It doesn't matter which wallet you use if you got phished or there's a keylogger waiting for you to copy-paste your seed. It will end up the same, your funds will gone. Metamask is generally safe as long as you're doing proper security practice. Been using it since 2017 and my funds are never lost.
