I'm guessing the goal was to reach 18-24 year olds who don't follow politics and convince them to vote. I don't think her past really matters in terms of the election.
Her past may not matter in regards to the 18-24 year old women who like her music, but it does matter to that age group of people when it comes to guys who lean to the right. Pretty sure it's a pretty common thing among those in conservative younger guy circles to rag on her for being indicative of a double standard.
Not a fan of her, and not a fan of a politician having an interview with an interview with her.
But ugh -- yeah I guess this is somewhat an outreach program.
I thought we learned that no one, in the grand scheme of things, really cares about endorsements from celebrities.
