This is not a serious comparison. One of them is building the most awesome platform in crypto.
The other builds platforms en masse and they become ghost towns in a year or two time.

Both are smart. But only one of them is here to build and create value for the world.

Good point. We all know how Larimer's past crypto projects turned out to become in the long run. Most of them are practically abandoned or left behind other cryptocurrencies on the market. You can compare Bitshares and STEEM to see for yourself. EOS is Larimer's latest creation, yet its decentralized model has been criticized. Block Producers on the EOS blockchain have been able to freeze accounts in the past, questioning the level of decentralization of Larimer's smart contract platform.

On the other hand, Vitalik's Ethereum blockchain has been doing well since it came into inception back in 2015. The world's most popular smart contract platform is still decentralized without experiencing disruptions whatsoever (AFAIK). There's only been issues regarding smart contracts' security and reliability, but the responsibility lies on individual dApp developers themselves. Despite ETH's limited transaction capacity, it has remained as one of the most decentralized smart contract platforms in the world. This gives ETH a huge advantage over EOS. I know that both figures (Vitalik and Dan) are talented, but I believe that the former has better experience in crypto/Blockchain technology. Time will tell us if their projects will be able to live up to the task as the competition becomes fierce in this emerging industry. Just my thoughts Grin

It is quite clear among crypto users who among them is really doing great job in terms of changing the game in blockchain technology. And the answer is Buterin. He is one of the most important pillars in this new age of cryptocurrencies. But with Larimer, we can forget him but Buterin, nope, not yet at the moment. And once ETH 2.0 is launched, we will see how far they can influence the crypto community and compare what's the status of EOS by then.
