I am also a Mac user, for bitcoin wallet, I use bitcoin core and electrum, while for multi-coin wallets I choose to use the Ledger Nano X hardware wallet (never tried Trezor).
While all wallets are imperfect, at least that is what I currently use based on their security reputation.
